Game Overview:
Ark: Survival Ascended is an open world survival game developed and published by Studio Wildcard.
It’s an expanded remaster of the 2015 title Ark: Survival Evolved.
The PS5 version is planned to launch by the end of November. Both consoles will support cross-platform play and have boosted rate servers.
Studio Wildcard will also test some "riskier" optimizations in a Public Test Realm branch going live later this week on PC.
The delay is due to "critical issues in the multiplayer version," which would have had "major implications for the console versions."
The Ark: Survival Evolved remake was planned for late October for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC, with no release date announced.
It will feature over 20 minutes of trailers and gameplay from Alan Wake 2, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Ark: Survival Ascended and more.
Studio Wildcard has also decided to separate the release date of The Island and Scorched Earth, with the latter now set to launch in December.
Following backlash from the community, Studio Wildcard has discarded plans for a bundled launch and will instead release the game on its own.
Ark: Survival Ascended is a current-gen exclusive remaster of Survival Evolved. Built on Unreal Engine 5, it will launch before the end of August.
