During the unveiling, the Raptors announced that Vince Carter’s iconic number 15 jersey will be the first in franchise history to be raised to the rafters of Scotiabank Arena in a special ceremony on Saturday, November 2. “The Carter effect is real,” said Raptors Vice-Chairman Masai Ujiri, reflecting on Carter’s profound impact on basketball in Toronto and Canada. “It’s fitting that Vince’s jersey will hang as the first retired in Raptors history.”
