Let luxury watch manufacturer Breguet help you escape with its new interpretation of the classic Hora Mundi model. A part of the Marine collection, this timepiece combines technical and aesthetic feats and is quite nice on the eyes.

The Marine Hora Mundi 5557 features a critical asset in the shape of an instant-change dual-time display with a memory function; this technological feat is accomplished via the pusher and crown. This mechanical watch took three years to develop and has been awarded four patents.

Having selected the first city’s time and date, the watch owner only needs to set the second city. The watch mechanism then calculates the time and date utilizing a clever system of cams, hammers and an integrated differential. At that point, simply pressing the pusher is enough to travel from one end of the planet to the other, all without disturbing the proper running of the watch.

A Visual Masterpiece

On the wrist of this watch are a series of unique features sure to entice any watch enthusiast. On the first gold base, the hand-guilloché waves lap gently against the shores of the continents. The sunburst dial base attired in abyssal blue creates the impression of an endless waltz of the wave motifs. This effect could also be because of how the continents are depicted. An additional plate made of sapphire comprises metallized meridians, and the continents are treated to horizontal satin brushing. Alongside all of that, their coastlines are subtly outlined with a metallic turquoise border. Finally, an outer flange serves as a support for the various elements present on the dial. The result features brilliantly crafted dimensions and surfaces thanks to multiple treatments requiring several weeks of work. 

The new Marine Hora Mundi is available with either a leather strap, a rubber strap or a gold bracelet.
